NOTE: For the Family Membership option you need to register all family members at the same time and at checkout the discount will be added.
Membership Process & Structure
You will need to create an Eventplus login. If you don’t want to remember another password you can use your Facebook or Strava account. This login will also be used for apparel purchases and entry to most of the Club events.
Only one login is required per family, within which individual profiles are created for each person. PLEASE NOTE – a family membership and discount is automatically created at checkout.
Payment is by credit card, if you need an alternative please email info@triathlontauranga.org.nz.
Club membership runs from November to October. Sign up today for membership through to 31 October 2020.
Senior: Member who has reached their 16th birthday at 1 January 2020
Junior: Member who has not reached their 16th birthday at 1 January 2020
Family: Allows members of a family to pay a single membership after which all nominated members of the family are regarded as individual full members of the club.
tribe membership
TRIBE (TriNZ governing body) membership is compulsory to ALL club members.
TRIBE membership fees are $25 per adult (over 23 years old), $15 for those aged between 16 to 23 years, $10 for Under 16 years and $10 for a social member (non-competing, or racing locally only).
There are many reasons why it’s important to be affiliated with the National governing body including, but not limited to: insurance, high performance, youth development, event endorsement and voting rights. In particular, all of our events this year, including the Tinman, Surfbreaker, Women’s Tri and Marra, are required to be TriNZ endorsed event. As such, any competitors who do not belong to a Triathlon Club (and TRIBE) will need to pay a one day race license (with the exception of Women’s Tri).
At the 2018 Club AGM, the Club voted to gather the TRIBE fees as part of the Triathlon Tauranga Club membership fees, rather than require TriNZ try to collect TRIBE membership fees independently. As such, the membership fees apply for membership of the Triathlon Tauranga Club and TRIBE.
