Wednesday nights/Membership/Omokoroa Challenge
Wednesday Tri Club Night
We are looking forward to seeing you all at the Triathlon Tauranga Club night tomorrow evening (Wednesday 18th October).
The youth committee and coaches will be on hand at Coronation Park from 4.45pm, with a 5pm start. Be ready for some fun games and introductions about the year ahead.
The senior session is from 5.50pm (start at 6pm) in Coronation Park. If you're new to town and not a member yet, still come along as you can find out more about what we do. You can also register on the night! Emily from Back in Action Physio will be taking the Adult session, with tips and tricks to make you better, faster! We will be looking at exercises and techniques to make you more efficient and faster in the swim, bike and run. Please bring a towel (to lie on the grass as we're not swimming), your bike, wind trainer, bike shoes and run shoes. Wet weather plan will be just a run. If you need a wind trainer please email us.
Someone will be there from the Tri Club committee each week to introduce the coaches and welcome any new members. The full programme for Wednesday nights can be found on our Club website.
Importantly, you have to be a paid up member to come along to Tri Club nights. While we'll be lenient for the first couple, these will be strictly enforced as the season goes on. If you're a new triathlete to Tauranga then we'll let you come along to your first one for free, before asking that you join up.
Omokoroa Coastal Challenge
The Omokoroa Coastal Challenge is now a Tri Club points race. So if you want to start the season at the top of your age group leader board, get involved on Sunday 29th October.
The event aim is to provide a fun and challenging multi-sport event that offers an event option for everybody - children, adults, competitive athletes, dogs, and babies in buggies alike! The duathlon events cater to athletes looking to conquer a new challenge, whilst the shorter walk/run options are perfect for those casual strollers simply looking for an enjoyable Sunday morning outing and the chance to support a great cause.
