Club members competing overseas


Athletes to watch
We are very fortunate to have some very talented Athletes who are members of this great Club. These athletes are all currently side-stepping Winter & experiencing some of what Europe & Japan has to offer.

Young Hayden Wilde has now been travelling Europe for a few weeks. In that time he has managed a World Cup Podium in Italy & another World Cup race in Antwerp & some great training & sight-seeing.
Hayden is training between now and the Hamburg WTS (World Triathlon series), he's also the reserve for the Relay in Hamburg. After that will be heading to Edmonton for the MTR (Mixed Team relay) then back to London for another MTR. Then Lausanne WC, before heading home to prepare for U23 Worlds on the Gold Coast.

Next to be heading to Europe is Hannah Knighton. Hannah also has a busy schedule as she builds towards the Junior Elite Worlds on the Gold Coast, where she will look to go better than her 5th placing last year in Rotterdam
.Hannah is racing Hannah - Holten ETU Elite Race, Tabor ETU Junior Cup, London Invitational MTR Event on her travels with the other members of the NZ U19 Elite Team.

Then lucky last to be catching some warmth is Reuben Thompson. This young lad is making huge gains since his move north from Queenstown. Taking out the National Secondary Schools U19 back in March.
Reuben is currently in Japan doing 3 races  Straight off the plane he managed to take a win at Sakata City Triathlon,. Next up is Miyagi - just a local race, then Takimatsu ITU Asian Cup.
